The last launch is at 2:00 PM and all kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and boats must return by 3:00 PM.

Reservations available from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with all rentals off the water by 2:00 PM. If you need a different time, give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

ATX Peace Paddling is a family-run, mobile kayak and stand up paddle board rental company proudly serving Steiner Ranch and all Lake Austin communities. Directions & Parking

All of our Lake Austin rentals — including SUPs, kayaks, canoes, and boats — launch from the ramp next to the Steiner Ranch Lake Club. This gives you easy access to calm water, scenic coves, and some of the best paddling spots on Lake Austin.

Important: Parking directly at the Lake Club ramp is limited to Steiner Ranch residents with a valid parking pass. Cars without a pass are subject to towing, so please don’t risk it.

Instead, we’ve made it simple for you: park at our private lot located at 1206 Summit Edge Drive, Austin, TX 78732. When you arrive, we’ll meet you there to check you in, collect your signed release, handle payment, and get you set up with your rental gear.

Once you’re ready, we’ll shuttle you and your equipment down to the launch site in one of our open-air SUVs. It’s quick, convenient, and takes all the stress out of starting your lake adventure. All you have to do is show up, and we’ll handle the rest!

📞 How do I make a reservation?
We’re a little old school—but it’s easy. Just call (512) 839-5510 and we’ll get you booked and answer any specific questions.
💳 How do I pay?
Pay in person with cash or credit card. We use Square and can email or text your receipt. Cash is quickest if you’re eager to get on the water.
🛶 Are kayaks stable?
Yes! Our sit-on-top kayaks are very stable and handle boat wake well—great for beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
🏋️ Do I need to be in shape to kayak or paddleboard?
Not at all. Go at your own pace—paddle hard for a workout or cruise slowly and enjoy the scenery. SUP and kayaking are low-impact and beginner-friendly.
🐶 Can I bring my dog on the kayak or paddleboard?
Yes! Many guests bring dogs. Just note that Lake Austin can have bigger waves, so pups should be comfortable in the water.
🚚 Can you deliver for multi-day weekday rentals?
Sometimes, yes. We do occasional deliveries to other lakes—give us a call and we’ll see what we can arrange.
🧒 Are there age restrictions?
Renters must be 18+. Under 18 requires a minor waiver signed by a parent/guardian (they don’t have to paddle). Under 14 cannot paddle solo.
🎒 What’s included with my rental?
All rentals include life jackets and basic instruction. Boat rentals also include tubes, wakeboards, surf boards, inflatable couch, skis, ropes, vests, cooler (if needed), free gas, bimini top (shade), and phone/aux + Bluetooth for the stereo.
🧴 What should I bring?
Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water or beverages. Kayaks fit a small ice chest (about 6 drinks).
💨 What if it’s too windy for SUP?
